It gives you a great chance to explore and really learn the controls. The cons While the "world" is really beautiful, the graphics are not up to Halo standards. They obviously did not spend as much time developing this as some of their other games but again, they knew what their real money makers were going to be.
I have been thanked at least a dozen times for that game and that was just during the first hour of play. No violence. Nothing mean. Nice game for girls. A little hard for my girls to maneuver the horse but they are doing better. WIsh 2 could play together.
Was able to use with xbox - required a call to tech support to set this up. Nice music and scenery. One person found this helpful. Bought this game for my girlfriend who is currently on a nostalgia kick. The game wouldn't work in her but that's more of the systems fault than the game but it worked flawlessly in her original XBox. She absolutely loves the game.
This is supposed to be backwards compatible, and I can't play it. Hello, This said it was compatible with Xbox one system and its not. I have not used it personally but she enjoys it. Hoe can you go wrong with Barbie products. Running on ice is fun, I guess, if you're a blonde. And she wears her show attire everywhere. Can you really climb obstacle courses in field boots and tailored tweed show coats? If you're looking for a game showing safe, sane equitation, Barbie ain't gonna do it for you.
That being said, if you're just looking for a horse-themed Barbie game, this game isn't bad. There's happy New Age-y Barbie music, there's Barbie's perky voice and a "friendship meter" that shows if your horse needs attention, like pats and treats.

She is about 1 year to young for this game. This forces you to sit through Barbie for long periods of time! The other problem is that when she is playing; I can't play any of my other games.
Consider buying a seperate system if you love playing games and are giving this to your daughter. I'm glad I got the game because she loves it and will play for very long periods of time. What girl doesn't love barbie, horse and new clothes? All three are part of the game. I would never buy this game for a boy. I imagine she'll be playing this for a few years since she enjoys it so much. Game does not work for PS2.
I bought two different copies since the first one I bought didn't work and none of them could be read by my PS2. I purchased this for a girl who likes horse games. So far it seems to hold her attention, and I haven't seen any violent or inappropriate scenes or images. I am told the graphics are good and they enjoyed the challenge of saving the horses. It has a feature to allow the gamer to customize their horses, their gear, their looks and so on.
